Anoka Water Leak Leads to a Mold Infestation

The water leak behind the washing machine in this Anoka house supplied the moisture needed for the dormant mold spores to begin to grow and spread along the baseboard, wall panel, and even the wood studs. Our SERVPRO team fixed the leak and cut out the damaged building materials to reveal the infestation within the wall. We sealed off this area before we began the demolition to prevent the migration of mold spores to unaffected regions of the structure. After spraying an anti-fungal agent to exterminate the remaining patches of mold we returned the following day to prime the treated areas and install new drywall to complete the mold remediation service.
