Cleaning a Priceless Toy

This toy earthmover was taken out of a house fire in Anoka by our crews. Because it was covered in soot and smoke, the toy was put into the unsalvageable category. But this yellow grader was the favorite possession of the homeowner’s 4-year old son, who lost most of his belongings and toys in the fire. Our cleaning team took it upon themselves to clean this yellow toy grader and restore it to its original condition "Like it never even happened." We carefully wiped down, using brushes and cleaning tools, the metal body, plastic tires, and turning mechanisms with various cleansers and solvents. When we delivered it to the rental home where the family was staying the look of joy on the boy’s face was worth all the effort! He was ready to use his yellow toy grader to rebuild his house.
